Mr. Khaled Geyushi, Vice Chairman of Geyushi Vehicle Manufacturing, was a keynote speaker at the Egyptian Automobile Club seminar titled Green Mobility and Sustainable Development. The event, held earlier this week, was attended by representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Transportation, and Environment. During the seminar, Mr. Geyushi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share Geyushi’s achievements and aspirations in advancing eco-friendly transportation solutions.
He highlighted the company’s production of various models powered by natural gas and electricity, which have already been supplied to numerous clients within Egypt and abroad. Mr. Geyushi elaborated on Geyushi’s significant role in upgrading the public transportation fleet, particularly through the conversion of 2,252 diesel buses in Cairo and Alexandria to natural gas engines. This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to improving environmental quality, reducing carbon emissions, and transitioning to sustainable transportation in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Mr. Geyushi also shed light on the company’s collaborative efforts with global partners and chassis manufacturers to develop sustainable transportation solutions. These efforts ensure that Egyptian-made vehicles align with international advancements in environmental preservation and green energy adoption. A notable example is Geyushi’s fully electric bus, which combines sustainable and smart mobility technologies and was previously showcased at Egypt’s Climate Conference.
As part of the seminar’s recommendations, presented to the Ministries of Transportation and Finance, Mr. Geyushi emphasized the need for increased governmental support and policies to facilitate the localization of industries, particularly transportation manufacturing. This support would enable Geyushi and other companies in the sector to increase the percentage of locally sourced components in buses and trucks, relying on high-quality, locally produced parts that compete with imported alternatives required by export clients.
In conclusion, Mr. Geyushi extended his appreciation to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly for their efforts in improving the country’s transportation networks and advancing the transition to clean energy. The seminar’s organizers also commended Geyushi for its contributions to the development and localization of the transportation industry.
