In response to Egypt's efforts to improve its various forms of transportation and connections, and in line with Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030 to put Egypt on the global map for sustainable transport, the Public Transport Conference in Egypt has been launched in collaboration with the International Union for Public Transport UITP, under the patronage of Geyushi, on the 13th and 14th of March, 2023. The conference brings together operators and investors in the field of public transport, government entities and decision makers at the global level, international donors, and more than 20 Arab and foreign countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Oman, India, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Slovenia, France.
The conference covers a number of main topics such as the integration of sustainable transport, the smart transformation of public transport, raising the satisfaction level of public transport users, and environmentally friendly public transport. The conference also reviews Arab and foreign experiences, with the Egyptian experience in the success of transforming Sharm El Sheikh city to sustainable transport in partnership with the private sector and the project of electric frequency buses on the circular road, and the re-planning of public transport in Greater Cairo and Alexandria.
The conference also reviewed the experience of the transition to sustainable smart transport in the United Arab Emirates, the planning of integrated transport in Casablanca, Morocco, and the Saudi experience in expanding the rights of privileged internal transport and the regulation of transportation in the Kingdom, in addition to the Indian and Italian experiences.
Geyushi Automotive Industries Company presented in its special hall at the conference its various solutions for sustainable transport, from mini buses to buses, which amazed the participants of the conference and the foreign businessmen, who praised the efficiency of the engineering minds and the technical hands of the workers of Geyushi Company.
